Propecia is used to treat male baldness on the top of the head, as well as on the front middle area of the head. There is no evidence that Propecia is successful in treating baldness on the temple area of the head. Propecia should only be used by men. This medication is not for use by women or children.
Propecia comes in tablet form to be taken once a day as directed. Propecia does not have to be taken with food. Never increase or decrease the dosage without your doctor’s approval. Do not stop using Propecia without speaking to your doctor.
If a dose is missed, it can be taken as soon as you remember, as long as it does not clash with the next scheduled dose. In this case, rather skip the missed dose. Never take a double dose.
Propecia should only be used by the person for whom it was prescribed. Do not use Propecia to treat any other medical conditions. Ensure that this medication is kept out of the reach of children.
